Nurse beaten to death

A 20-year-oldman has allegedly flogged a nurse, 40, to death in Deakeamie Community, Ganta City, Nimba County.

A daughter of the deceased, Serena Yowah, narrated to The NewDawn her father was allegedly beaten to death by suspect “Baby Boy” after he accused the deceased of beating on his children.

Serena continued that her brother attempted driving the suspect out of their yard, but he (Baby Boy) allegedly took a stick and struck Amos Yowah on his head, which resulted to spinal injury and was subsequently pronounced dead at the Ganta United Methodist Hospital.

These killings are in addition to recent bloody violence in Ganta that led to two deaths, including arson attacks on public and private properties. Police reported scores of arrest after the violence started by mob predominantly motorcyclists and other residents in a revenge attack for the death of a colleague motorcyclist whose body was discovered near a Methodist compound in Ganta. Latest reports received suspects arrested have been charged and sent to court.
