NVTI emphasizes vocational education

The Executive Director of the NetLib Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) Francis Nyenpon is encouraging students to enroll at the institution to prepare themselves for the future.

He said NetLib is evolved in cultivating partnerships that develop solutions to Liberia’s most pressing challenge, “Youth Unemployment”, which is important to sustainable economic growth and improving quality of life

Speaking Wednesday in an interview with this paper, Nyenpon said his institution strives for excellence by upholding high academic and professional standards, providing a quality educational environment, and continuously seeking improvement in all aspects of its activities.

“We follow excellence in teaching and learning through encouragement and support of creativity, imagination, and entrepreneurial spirit.” According to him, the mission of NetLib is to train students in becoming entry level professionals in high demand careers.

He said NETLIB Vocational Training Institute was established in 2003 by a Liberian in the Netherlands, under the leadership of one Abdullah L. Kamara, whose vision is to provide technical and vocational education and training to Liberian youths in order for them to advance rapidly in high demand professional careers.

He added the institution was subsequently incorporated in Liberia as a non-profit organization in 2007, offering preparatory instruction for entry-level. He also indicated the mission of the NVTI is to provide quality education and training that will enable students to achieve their educational goals, saying students will have the opportunity to earn a diploma in a particular course area such as baking interior decoration, catering, computer, general mechanic, general building construction and many more.
