“Operation Crush Warriors”

“Operation Crush Warriors” is the code name for the campaign to ensure total victory for the Liberian National Team, the Lone Star against the Warriors of the Southern African State of Zimbabwe comes this Sunday at the S.K.D. Sports Complex in Paynesville, outside Monrovia.

Sunday’s match in Group A is part of the qualifying series of the 2012 African Cup of Nations scheduled to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Other members of the group are Mali and Cape Verde.

Liberian football authorities say with the momentum and enthusiasms among the players, technical staff and fans, the Lone Star was prepared to crush the Warriors of Zimbabwe.

Supporters of the team are admonishing  players  to ensure discipline and good ball coordination, in terms of accuracies in their passes, as well as finishes in those passes within the vital  areas of the Zimbabweans, as Liberians cheer them all-the-way  for more goals in their favor.

At an honoring ceremony for the team last evening, Billiton’s senior communication and media advisor, Deirdra S. McCracken said the company was very excited to be associated with the preparations of the Liberia National team for its 2012 Cup of Nations kick off.

In response the President of the Liberia Football Association, Musa Bility thanked the mining company for identifying with the team, describing it as a very big step for success.
