Over 1,000 residents of Gorshue Town, Gorlonhumah Clan in Margibi County are in dire need of social services, including clinic, school, safe drinking water, and improved road, amongst others.

According to them, they were fetching drinking water from a non-running creek, several miles from the town. They said because of the current rainy season, there is no good drinking water couple with the deplorable road condition.

The locals said the only well in the area has been damaged due to heavy flood and erosion, adding that the situation has become an embarrassment to many of them.

They said government should consider provision of safe drinking water and paved roads for citizens in that part of the country a development priority. Meanwhile, the citizens have appealed to aspirants in the ensuing elections to help improve their road.
