Police Arrest Drug Dealers

In Tubmanburg, Bomi County, two persons, Fayiah Samokai and Annie Phillip, have been arrested for alleged illegal possession of narcotic drugs.

In a December 21, 2010 update from the Police Headquarters in Monrovia, it was reported that the two suspects said to be under police custody, are residents of Konndeh and Vai Town Communities in Tubmanburg.

The report says the suspects were arrested following a tip off from some citizens of the area.

The police then carried out an investigation and was fortunate to have the suspects arrested as they were in full operation of transacting. Two kilograms of the dangerous product were seized during the operation.

Although Police Spokesman George Bardue did not state what their charges were, he said the suspects were undergoing police preliminary investigation in Tubmanburg. Suspects Annie Phillip and Fayiah Samokai were reportedly arrested in the Harmon Hill Community in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.

Meanwhile, Police Detachment at the Robert International Airport is investigating three suspects after allegedly stealing one welding machine belonging to a Chinese Construction Company operating in the area.

Police Source says suspects Anthony Tarr, Flomo Tokpah and Solomon Konnor were arrested for alleged theft of property in the Cotton Tree Community for stealing the Chinese Construction Company’s welding Machine.
