Police charge 4 with counterfeiting

Police in Ganta, Nimba County have arrested and charged four persons with misapplication of entrusted properties, counterfeiting and criminal facilitations.

According to police charge sheet, 28-year-old Obinna Cletus allegedly entered Ganta with huge sums of counterfeit United States Dollars, and recruited three other suspects into his syndicate.
The police said, Obinna Cletus duped fellow Nigerian Lunus Obioral, promising to give him US$12,000 if the latter surrendered US$5,000 plus 60,000 to the former.

Those arrested include Lunus Obioral, 22, and Obinna Cleetus, both Nigerians; 24-year-old Emmanuel Flomo and Beatrice David, 25 both Liberians, who allegedly persuaded Lunus Obioral to give out the money.
