Police Officer Wins L$250,000 at Lonestar Cell MTN

Police officer Mark Giddings, a resident of Du-port Road community in Paynesville, outside Monrovia has won the Lonestar Cell MTN weekly raffle draw with a cash prize of L$250,000, said to be the biggest draw of the week.The GSM Company announced officer Giddings winner after he texted 20 messages for a week as required.

Meanwhile, the winner of the Lonestar Cell MTN seventh weekly draw, Asatu Kabah, Friday collected her L$250,000 cash prize. The company also gave out L$60,000 airtime during the sixth week of the promotional period.

Friday’s draw was the eighth “Text N Win” Promotion Raffle Draw, which saw several persons walking away with cash prizes and air times. The draw, which was held at the company’s head offices in Congo Town, outside Monrovia, is part of a 4-in-1 promotion launched sometimes ago.

According to Lonestar Cell MTN, the 4-in-1 promotion is named and styled: “Perfect Holiday Gift,” which is expected to run for the next three months. The company has promised to give away over L$10 million cash prizes and airtimes during the three-month promotional period.

“Txt N Win” is a SMS game that gives subscribers, who choose to play the game an opportunity to win daily, weekly and monthly prizes.

The January 23, 2012, draw was won by Patience Werner, a resident of the Joe Bar Community in Paynesville, outside Monrovia. Patience won a cash prize of L$ 23,625 after she sent in three text messages.

Tuesday, January 24, 2012, draw was won by Madam Mariama Kanneh, a resident of the External Love Winning Africa (ELWA) Community, also in Paynesville, outside Monrovia. Madam Kanneh, who sent in a total of eight text messages, walked away with L$62,000. Wednesday and Thursday’s (January 25 and 26, 2012) draws were won by Armah Karneh and Siafa Coleman, respectively.

According to Lonestar Cell MTN, Karneh, who is a resident of 7th Street, Sinkor in Monrovia sent in a total of five text messages, and won the prize of L$42,000, while Coleman, a resident of the Gardnersville Community outside Monrovia, sent in three text messages and walked away with L$23,625.

In a related development, Lonestar Cell MTN through its Marketing Officer, Ibrahim Daramie has launched a new promotion, styled: “Fantastic Friday”, which is expected to give 50% discount on every text message sent by a Lonestar Cell MTN subscriber to another subscriber of the same network.
