Pres. Sirleaf launches SBA

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has launched the Small Business Administration (SBA) Business Opportunities through the Support Service Center (BOSS). She commended Minister Axel Addy and partners for their efforts in promoting Liberian-owned businesses.

“Let me commend you Minister Addy and all of you who, one way or the other contributed towards this great initiatives; Thank you, sorry I can’t stay with you to the end as you know we have guests in the country and I have to join them,” President Sirleaf noted.

An Executive Mansion release said President Sirleaf made the statement last Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Ashmun Street when she formerly launched and cut the ribbon to the Small Business Administration Center.
President Sirleaf thanked partners, stakeholders in the MSME sector including the UNDP, the Liberia Chamber of Commerce (LCC), the Liberia Business Association (LIBA), among others.

The objective of the project is to enhance Liberia’s decentralized program and provide support to MSME policy implementation in Liberia through opportunities to start-up Micro and Small Enterprises and establish business infrastructure at the county level.

The Small Business Administration Business Opportunities will work to strengthen many beneficiary groups and organizations including youth, women and small agricultural producers and support Micro and Small Enterprise development through the provision of financial and non-financial services, among others.-Press release
