Pres. Weah attends Akufo-Addo’s inauguration

President George M. Weah and delegation arrived in the Ghanaian Capital, Accra, on Wednesday, January 6, 2020 to full military honors at the Kotoka International Airport, ahead of the inauguration on Thursday of Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankuah Akufo-Addo.

The Liberian leader was accompanied by First Lady Clar Marie Weah, Foreign Minister Dee Maxwell Kamayah, and Defense Minister Daniel Ziankahn. Other members of the President’s delegation included Information Minister Ledgergood Rennie, Transport Minister Samuel Wlue and Maritime Commissioner Eugene Nagbe. President Weah and more than a dozen other regional and world leaders will grace the ceremony at the Ghanaian Parliamentary House.

President Akufo-Addo won the hotly contested presidential polls last month to secure a second four-year term against the candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress, former president John Manama. While in Ghana, the Liberian Leader will also hold talks with representatives of bilateral organizations.
