President George Manneh Weah has sent a congratulatory message to the Government and people of the Republic of Colombia, on the occasion marking the 208th Independence Anniversary of that country.
The Republic of Colombia will on Friday, July 20, 2018, commemorate its 208th Independence Anniversary. According to a Foreign Ministry release, in the message to His Excellency Juan Manuel Santos Calderon, President of the Republic of Colombia, President George Manneh Weah, on behalf of Liberia extended heartfelt felicitations and best wishes to the Government and people of Colombia, as they celebrate this historic milestone.
“As you commemorate this special occasion, the people of Liberia are appreciative of the accelerated cordial ties of friendship and bilateral cooperation subsisting between Liberia and Colombia in recent years,” the Liberian leader asserted.
President Weah assured his Colombian counterpart that Liberia will continue to collaborate with Colombia for the realization of Mutual benefits in the interest of the two governments and peoples.
The Liberian President particularly expressed delight over the insightful leadership of President Juan Manual Santos Calderon which he said has laid the foundation for the restoration of peace and stability to Colombia.
The Liberian President prayed that the Almighty will continue to endow Mr. Santos Calderon with abundant wisdom, good health and happiness as he leads the industrious people of Colombia to a prosperous future. He then wished for the people of Colombia sustained peace, National Unity and enduring prosperity.
