President’s driver sent to prison

Montserrado County Traffic Court Judge Cllr. Jomak S. Jallah, has sent one of President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s motorcade drivers, Tumies Fallah to the Monrovia Central Prison. Defendant Fallah was recently involved in an accident near ELWA Junction in Paynesville, resulting to the death of two kids.

According to Cllr. Jallah, defendant Fallah was sent to jail on Friday, December 8, due to his inability to secure a criminal appearance bond. On 30 November 2016 the Presidential motorcade escorted President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to the Roberts International Airport in Margibi County, while on her way to Ghana.

But while the President’s official motorcade was returning to the capital, defendant Tumies Fallah, who was driving the police pilot jeep, ran into two kids crossing the street, Melvin Tucker, 12; and Jackson Kordah, 9; killing them instantly. President Sirleaf has subsequently visited families of the kids and sympathized with them for the lost.
