President Sirleaf Consoles Cuba on Fidel Castro’s death

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has sent a message of condolence to the President of the Republic of Cuba, Raul Castro Ruz on the death of former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Cuba, His Excellency Fidel Castro.

Mr. Castro, former President and Commander-in-Chief of the Republic of Cuba and historical leader of the Cuban revolution, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 in Havana.  A Foreign Ministry release said, President Sirleaf, on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in her own name, extended to the president, Government and people of Cuba heartfelt condolences for this irreparable loss.

She further prayed that as the people of Cuba mourn the loss of their historic leader and ideologue of the Cuban revolution, the Almighty God will grant Mr. Castro Ruz and the people of Cuba strength, courage and fortitude during this period of national mourning.-Press release
