President Weah is focus to deliver agenda

Liberia’s Information Minister, Lenn Eugene Nagbe, says President George Manneh Weah is focus on delivering his agenda for the country, and no one should think they can divert the President’s attention by making unnecessary criticisms against his presidency.

“What’s more of having good Public Relations or PR than development, we can have all of the good PRs, but once there is no development, the country cannot move on the right trajectory, and that is what the President is concerned about”.

Speaking on State Radio ELBC in Paynesville outside Monrovia, he says Liberians are noted for creating many problems, adding that while the government is basically focused on solving previous problems, people on the other side are creating more.

According to the MICAT boss, the idea of people criticizing the CDC government at this early age would do no good for the country. He argues that the government is just three months in power, and there have been tremendous progress coming from the Office of the President, where he [President Weah] is striving to deliver on his pro-poor agenda.

Minister Nagbe says proof of President Weah’s commitment to developing Liberia is the recent ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a 200 bedrooms military hospital for the welfare of AFL personal and private citizens, who will also seek treatment at the facility.

During the ground breaking ceremony, President George Weah noted that the Armed Forces of Liberia can play a major role in “uniting and building a more peaceful and prosperous Liberia” and make “significant contribution to regional peace and stability.”

Minister Nagbe discloses that design for the military hospital has been approved and financing for the project has already been arranged, noting that the hospital will be equipped with the most modern facility and will be staffed by highly trained medical personals; it will also be a teaching hospital for soldiers, saying, “this is a kind of person we have a President.”

He says the President and Commander-In-Chief of the army has assured his administration’s commitment to building an army of “professionally trained soldiers who are well paid, highly educated, and cared for medically to the highest standard.”
