PUP holds political jamboree

PUP Chairman NDA major home-coming meeting for the People’s Unification Party or PUP is expected to take place this weekend in Gbarnga. According to the Chairman of the PUP Governing Council, Bong County Senator Henry Willie Yallah, the home-coming is meant to foster continuous engagements with the people.

Ahead of the much-anticipated event on this Saturday, a preparatory meeting was held on Sunday to inform political stakeholders about their planned initiative.  The meeting, attended by chiefs, youth leaders, women leaders, major political stakeholders and five of the county’s nine lawmakers, was intended to plan for Saturday’s political showdown.

In a conversation with reporters, Senator Yallah said the PUP was leading efforts to elect a son of Bong County as President or Vice President. According to him, this home-coming will bring the county to a standstill, as well as prove to the world that the general assertions that the people of Bong County were stupid are foolish, indicating that the time was ripe for the people of Bong County to stand united in diversity.
