Bong County Senator Henry Willie Yallah has told this paper that the People’s Unification Party or PUP was moving progressively based on the commitment of its members. Speaking to our correspondent last weekend in Yellequelleh District, Senator Yallah noted that the membership of the party has now grown over the year, adding that consultations were being held across the Country for the future of the party in 2017.
The Bong Legislative Caucus Chairman also described the appointment of Dr. Henrique Flomo Tokpa as Internal Affairs Minister as a boost for the party and all other Liberians supporting the PUP.
The People’s Unification Party is targetting Dr. Henrique Flomo Tokpa or Ambassador Jeremiah Sulunteh on its ticket as either President or Vice President in 2017.
The Senator also indicated that the PUP is expected to officially be launched in Gbarnga in the first or second week of February, though consultations were being held. The Bong County Senator expressed joy over the milestones witnessed by the party over the year, urging Liberians to support the party so as to give chance to the indigenous to stir the affairs of their own land.
