-As County Tour gears up
Gompa, Ganta, Nimba County- Nimba County Senator Prince Y. Johnson on Monday February 15, reaffirms his support for President George Weah saying, Nimba is your number one and closest ally.
“Nimba is for you. Nimba is by you. Let us live today as if there is an election,” Sen. Johnson, considered as the county’s political Godfather told President Weah during a Town Hall meeting Monday on the second leg of President Weah’s nationwide county tour.
“We are by you. The 2023 election, we are with you. The devil we know is better than the angel we don’t know.” Senator Johnson said to a cheering crowd of Nimbaians who turned out in their numbers to interact with the President.
President Weah arrived in Nimba Monday morning and was met upon arrived by traditional leaders and county officials following a three day tour of Bong County, where he also interacted with local leaders and held several meetings.
Sen. Johnson who gave an upbeat appraiser of his support to President Weah narrated that his support is based on trust and believe that he (Weah) is the right person at the time to move the country forward with development. He said his rejection of President Weah in 2011 was because he went on the ticket as a vice to Winston Tubman who he (Johnson) consider as stranger.
He thanked President Weah for the level of developments he is undertaking throughout the country. By Othello B. Garblah
