Rep. Bhofal Chambers wants thorough investigation

Maryland County District #2 Representative Dr. Bhofal Chambers says the autopsy report of the late Harry Greaves is just the beginning of the investigation, so he doesn’t think it is time or expedient for the government to turn the body over to his family because more probes should be conducted on the body to dispel all doubts.

Representative Chambers said it is very much surprising to hear that the body of the late Harry Greaves has been turned over to his family for burial. According to him, from a criminal justice prospective, autopsy report is part of the investigation, and stressed the need for investigators to firstly visit the RLJ where the late Greaves went missing and should be the crime scene, including the old Budget Bureau where the body was found.

Speaking in Monrovia, Dr. Chambers said the RLJ hotel remains actual crime scene because the late Greaves went there and his cloth and other belongings were found at the hotel. He said the pathologists hired by the government who performed the autopsy on the body should be present for a thorough investigation.

According to the autopsy report released by the Nebraska Institute of Forensic Sciences Pathologist Thomas L. Bennett, Mr. Greaves diedof drowning and there was no foul play.

After allegedly disappearing from the RLJ Hotel off the Robertsfield Highway on 29 January, Mr. Greaves’ lifeless body was found at the beach behind the fence of the old Planning Ministry in Monrovia on Sunday, 31 January.
