Rep. Dakel challenges district #17 youths

Montserrado County district #17 Representative, Williams V. Dakel, has challenged youths in his district to be innovative.

Speaking over the weekend in Babyma Junction community in Brewerville when he inaugurated the Adrem Intellectual Forum, Rep. Dakel said, it’s time that young people look at ills of the society and bring them on the table for discussion rather than getting involve in violence.

He encouraged the leadership of Adrem not to be hopeless, but to work for the good of the community, reminding that they were elected to serve the people of Adrem.

The Adrem Intellectual Forum was founded on August 10, 2010 to bring young people together to serve as watchdog for the society. But it is being transformed from a mere center for intellectual exchange and watchdog to an institution that seeks to help in addressing challenges faced by their community and the Nation at large.

Chairman-elect John B. Morrision,  said,  the forum will  buttress effort of Government in addressing  some of the challenges faced by the community, ranging from illiteracy, drugs addiction, poor sanitary condition, violence, poor education system, corruption and poor leadership.

Mr. Morrision called on residents to join the forum to help in achieving its dreams and aspirations.
