Rep. Kiazolu dedicates new hand pump in Freetown Virginia

Montserrado County District #17 Representative Hanson Kiazolu, dedicates a new hand pump in Freetown Virginia Community, Brewerville City, valued three thousand United States Dollars.

Performing the dedicatory ceremony, Representative Kiazolu says the intervention is as a result of an appeal by the community’s residents during the elections campaign that the area lacks safe-drinking water.

“These kinds of intervention are just part of our Legislative oversight responsibility at the district level’’, he informs the gathering.

“Remember, water is life, and this water facility will help address the water crisis Freetown Virginia residents have faced with over the time”, he notes.

A cross section of Virginia residents, who spoke after the program, commends the lawmaker for the initiative, saying, he is a man of his word.

They note that source of safe water has been a serious problem in the past, a situation that poses threats to their health.

“We’re taking risk and drinking from wells not safe, but thank God our Representative came to our rescue”, they recounted in a jubilant mood.

According to the residents, other politicians went to the community during the 2017 elections and made promises, but failed to help during the campaign, lest to talk about after the 2017 elections.

Meanwhile, in the midst of these interventions, the lawmaker is also holding pocket meetings with constituents, ahead of town hall meetings on Dual Citizenship.

The town hall meetings are expected to be held shortly in fifteen locations in the district to create more awareness, educate and solicit views on the crucial national subject matter, according to Representative Kiazolu.

He maintains that whatever comes out of the meetings will be acted upon, not his personal decision.

Representative Kiazolu at the same time reassures the residents of efforts being made to bring electricity to the district, which he notes, would boost economic growth and heighten security in there.
