Rep. Kogar wants Internal Affairs, Police invited

Nimba County Electoral District #5 Rep. Samuel G. Kogar is seeking the House of Representatives’ indulgence for Internal Affairs Minister Varney Sirleaf and Liberia National Police (LNP) Inspector General Col. Patrick Sudue to appear and give a status report on serious issues concerning Nimbaians living in River Cess County.

According to Kogar, since the beginning of May 2020, some Liberians from Nimba County who were living in the Sand Beach Community, River Cess County went missing. He complains that the situation led to the death of one Nimbaian by the name Clinton Gaye and his body is at the Tapita Hospital, while two others to be identified at the same hospital, are also on a critical list.

Based on the seriousness of the issue, Rep. Kogar says he is seeking the plenary’s indulgence to invite the two officials for the purpose of giving a status report on the issue. Following his request, the House of Representatives has forwarded the communication to the committee on Internal Affairs and Judiciary to report to the body within one week.
