Rep. Koiwood wants MPW appear

Gbarpolu County Electoral District #1 Rep. Alfred G. Koiwood and House Chairman on National Security wants the House to invite the Minister of Public Works to give reason why malfunctioning traffic lights in and around Monrovia are left unattended to.

According to Rep. Koiwood, his research has unveiled that the Ministry of Public Works is the government institution tasked with the responsibility to install and maintain traffic lights across the county.

But he claims that the Ministry has done nothing about the malfunctioning of traffic lights around Monrovia. He explains that his concern has been drawn to the abandonment of nearly all the traffic lights in and around Monrovia, thus causing huge traffic which sometimes result into motor accidents.

Rep. Koiwood notes that it is posing serious threat to motorists and pedestrians, and he seeks the indulgence of his colleagues to kindly intervene. Meanwhile the Plenary of the House of Representatives has forwarded the communication to the House Committee on Public Works to report to the body.
