Rep. Kollie donates to storm victims in Suakoko Town

Rep. Eugine JM Kollie of Bong County District #5 restored hope to storm victims across Suakoko Administrative District, donates 60 bundles of zinc and 60 bags of 25kg rice

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, Representative Eugine JM Kollie of Bong County District #5 demonstrated his commitment to helping those in need by donating relief items to storm victims in the Suakoko Administrative District.
The donation, which was made in Suakoko Town, included about 60 bundles of zinc and 60 bags of 25kg of rice.
The storm, which occurred late Friday evening, January 24, 2025, left many families displaced and without shelter.
During the donation, Rep. Kollie expressed his sympathy and concern for the affected families, assuring them they were not alone in this difficult time.
He also urged the local authorities to ensure the items were distributed fairly among the victims.
The Representative also used the opportunity to encourage his constituents to always be prepared for natural disasters by adhering to warnings from the National Disaster Management Agency and other relevant agencies.
Receiving the items on behalf of the victims, the Suakoko District Commissioner, Mr. Moses Dongtay, expressed his gratitude to Rep. Kollie for his timely intervention.
He assured the representative that the items would be distributed fairly to the victims.
The beneficiaries of the donation, which includes Mr. Samuel Siwnatuah and Madam Fatu Johnson, expressed their appreciation to Rep. Kollie and stated that the relief items would go a long way in helping them rebuild their homes and lives.
Rep. Kollie has been actively involved in community development projects in his district since he assumed office in January 2024. He has also been a strong advocate for improving the living conditions of his constituents and providing them with access to basic social services.
