Rep. Kpakar donates 2 ambulances

Lofa County Electoral District #1 Representative Eugene Fallah Kpakar, has donated two ambulances to the people of Lofa.  

Representative Kpakar made the donation Monday, 5 January in the conference room of the Capitol. The ceremony brought together Vice President Joseph Boakai; House Speaker Alex Tyler; officials of the Ministry of Health and the people of Lofa.  

The Lofa County Lawmaker said he brought the two ambulances in the country to buttress efforts of the Government in eradicating the Ebola virus as well as strengthening the health sector, adding that one of the ambulances will be deployed in his home district, Foya, and the other is for Voinjama, the county’s seat to help in the health care delivery system of Lofa.

Receiving the ambulances on behalf of the Government, the chairman of the National Aids Commission, Dr. Ivan F. Camanor, thanked Rep. Kpakar for the kind gesture and noted that Liberians have made a lot of progress in the fight against Ebola.

Speaker Tyler said the Ebola Virus Disease should not be seen as a government’s problem but it is about all Liberians and commended Liberians in the ongoing fight, stressing that the fight must continue until Ebola is out of Liberia.

For his part, Vice President Borkai, on behalf of the Executive, thanked Representative Kpakar for the donation  and prayed that they will be handled will care.
