Rep. Lawrence consoles fire victims

Montserrado County District #15 Representative Adolph A. Lawrence has identified with recent fire victims of lower Jamaica Road community in Logan Town, Bushrod Island sharing food and materials.

Items donated include six mattresses, two bundles of zinc, six bags of 25kg rice and 6,000 Liberians dollars. Making the donation over the weekend on behalf of the lawmaker, district coordinator Ezekiel Shannon said the gesture was in response to an SOS call by the victims through the office of the senior advisor of the district.

Mr. Shannon said this was his boss’ way of giving back to people of his district, saying whenever they call upon him he is prepared to go to their aid because he was elected to serve them.
In response, the chairman of the community Mr. Phillip B. Jarba said they were shock by the timely intervention of Representative Lawrence.

Mr. Jarba said the district lawmaker continues to avail himself to the Jamaica Road community whenever the residents called upon him as their direct representative.  Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the donation have also thanked Rep. Lawrence for his intervention and expressed optimism he would do more for them because since fire gutted their house, he is the only person to have gone to their aid with mattresses, food and zinc to enable them rebuild their lives.
