Citizens of Electoral District 11 in Montserrado County have blasted Lawmaker Gabriel Nyenkan for lack of interest in the District. The Citizens claimed that since the incumbency of Representative Nyenka the district was yet to benefit from any development initiative in the district.
One of the residents – Peter Wilson, in an exclusive interview with this paper, said Rep. Nyenkan has failed the people of Barnesville, further claiming that the representative has not fulfilled all he promised during his campaign.
According to him, Rep. Nyenkan’s basic and only concern is himself and his family and does not advocate for the people in his district at the Legislature in terms of meeting the basic needs of the people of his district.
“Rep. Nyenkan only knows how to get in his jeep and pass by people; and also go on the radio and talk plenty things and does nothing for the people of District 11. Even the road that his car passes on every day is yet to be progressive; instead, he claims to have fixed the road leading to his house alone,” he claimed.
A marketer, only referred to as Ma. Esther, alleged that Rep. Nyenkan only knew them during his campaign, but ignores them while presently in his political office, claiming that he does not want to know about their well-being in the district.
A mother of two school-going children, she complained of the difficulties she faces, alongside other citizens of the district on a daily basis, saying she sells pepper and other vegetable provisions in the market to support her family in the absence of a job for her husband.
