Rep. Schaack appreciates constituents

Rivercess County District #1 Representative Rosana GDH Schaack appreciates electorate for voting her as their lawmaker. The program, which is phase II of series of appreciations took place in Neezuoin, District #1 Rivercess County recently, bringing together hundreds of citizens from Neezuoin and surrounding towns.


Amidst jubilation citizens dine and wine as they note. “This is the first time for a lawmaker, who has won an election to return home to tell her people thank you,” an elderly woman says.

“This won’t be forgotten, we will tell this to our generations, even the unborn ones will get to know what has happened,” she continues. As Rivercess Senator Dallas Gweh, Paramount Chiefs Koffi Zah, William T. Dennis and Superintendant Birkmirt Karbiah took to the podium separately, the jammed packed Neezuoin came to attention, providing opportunity for citizens to listen.

“Madam Schaack, you have done something very wonderful; the step taken by you to come and at least say thank you to our people is welcoming, I am honored by this,” Senator Gweh asserts, and adds: Today is also one of the historic moments in the history of Rivercess County, to see the entire county’s leadership present at a single program is laudable; even former aspirants in attendance as well.

County Superintendent Karbiah calls on citizens to trust their leaders. According to him, Rep. Schaack has done extremely well to deserve praises from her people, stressing that instead she appreciating them, they (citizens) should give her flowers due her.

Both Paramount Chiefs Koffi Zah and William T. Dennis call on people of the district to stand with the lawmaker as she represents their interest in the House.Meanwhile, Rep. Schaack lauds the citizens’ participation in the developmental drive of the district, noting that for too long they had lagged behind in develpment.

She assures them of her commitment to ensuring a transparent and accountable leadership, which according to her, is key to development and growth of any society.

“This is the time for all of us to work in achieving the goal of our district, we need to champion the cause of development, because this starts with all of us, and continues with us,” she emphasized.

Several elders, women groups and youths, who attended the program, laud the lawmaker for her frantic effort in championing their plight.According to them, this was the first time for a lawmaker to return home to at least thank them for voting her.

Doedain District Commissioner Jones Nagbo lauds Representative Schaack for at least returning home to appreciate her people, but reminds that the need for basic development remains one of the major challenges affecting the district.

For his part, Doedain Statutory Superintendent Joseph Robertson wants the lawmaker to unite the citizens, recalling that during the elections, bitterness flared as a result of campaign slogans and speeches.
