Rep. Younquoi breaks grounds in Nimba

Nimba County district #8 Representatives, Larry Younquoi, has broken grounds for the construction of the Nyeanyee Foundational Baptist Church in his district. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony over the weekend, Representative Younquoi commended citizens of district #8 for initiating the project.

He said the initiative is highly welcomed by his office because these are development he wants his people to undertake. The Nimba Lawmaker noted that if citizens are engaged in self-help development, it will encourage others, including government to support them.

Representative Younquoi then donated 20 bags of cement to the Church project and pledged to provide future support. He similarly donated 20 bags of cement to the people of Duanpa Town.

The NewDawn Nimba correspondent said, Representative Younquoi subsequently toured several parts of his district and was joyously received by citizens. However, during the visit, the citizens told their lawmaker that they lack roads, schools and basic needs.  In response, he pledged to address their plight.

For his part, Deacon Thomas Kardeaka Dean thanked the Nimba lawmaker for the donation. Deacon Dean said when built, the Nyeanyee Foundational Baptist Church will help to bring Christians together in the district.

He put the estimated cost of the construction at US$25,000.00.
