River Gee mourns ex-senator Williams

River Gee County Senator Commany Wesseh says the county regrets the death of ex-senator Nathaniel Williams who he described as “Godfather to the people of River Gee. Senator Wesseh, said the late ex-senator Nathaniel Williams, his predecessor, was a colorful man, a man with positive thoughts and he was always consulted on pieces of advice.

Speaking on UNMIL Radio Tuesday, 16 August Sen. Wesseh said the former senator was a very bold person so the people of River Gee regret losing such a great man. According to him, whenever a meeting was held in the county, the late Williams always saw things from a different perspective, but it would end up positively, adding that his legacy will continue to live on in the County.

Senator Wesseh noted that over a short span, River Gee County has lost three great sons: Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia Eric Dennis, Liberian Journalist Lawrence Randall and ex-senator Nathaniel Williams.

He said it is so sadden to lose such competent individuals from the county, saying they were men well known in Liberia and made a great impact in the society. “The Late Nathaniel Williams commonly called “Cheykly” was a tough-talking Oldman, who was afraid of no one; he was bold and could tell anybody anything. But he was a very innovative man that when he spoke, it made a great difference, a well- respected man that we would really miss and we regret losing him”, Senator Wesseh lamented.
