Robbers fire forex operator

Day Break Mouth Open community in Montserrado County electoral district #12 has suffered another armed robbers’ attack, leaving a money exchanger reportedly shut in the forehead.

The robbery transpired over the weekend when forex bureau operator Patrick Kolleh was packing to go home at about 8: 20 PM. Eyewitnesses say the attack on Kolleh is the second in the community, recalling that in early 2016, a group of armed robbers using single barrel guns entered the business premises of a female resident and made away with an undisclosed amount of cash and other valuables.

They believe those same individuals, who robbed their neighbor about a year ago are the ones that shut the money exchanger at the intersection of Day Break Mouth Open.
According to them, the robbers and the victim engaged in a scuffle while they tried to wrestle his money bag but eventually succeeded in overpowering him after one of the attackers shot him in the head, compelling Kolleh to give up the bag. The robbers then took the bag and jumped on a motorbike, which headed toward Barnesville Junction along the Somalia Drive.

Meanwhile, victim Kolleh has been admitted at the John F. Kennedy Hospital in Sinkor, Monrovia where he’s being treated of his wounds. Residents of the community are calling on the police to intensify night patrols in the area to curtail the wave of armed robbery there.
