Rollers To Tour Grand Gedeh County

Mighty Barrolle will from the 5th through the 10th of May this year engage five football teams of Grand Geedeh County including the county’s team and Gbao-ar-geewea football team among others in series of friendly matches.

According to a release issued in Monrovia over the weekend, the local friendly matches are part of several activities organized by the club in observance of the birth anniversary of its former chief patron the late Samuel Kanyon Doe.

The games are scheduled to be play in Zwedru, and the team is expected to leave Monrovia for Grand Geedeh two days prior to the day of the game.

Amidst calls from fans and supporters of Mighty Barrolle, the executive board of directors has decided that a new leadership be put in office on May 23 this year. Six positions including President, vice Presidents for Administration and Operation, the General Secretary, Treasure and Chaplain are out for Fans and supporters of Barrolle to contest for.

Interested individuals are therefore requested to submit a letter of application along with a copy of their platform to the Secretary General of Barrolle board of directors on or before May 21, this year.

Meanwhile Mighty Barrolle President, Garmondeh Karnga has rejected rumors that Barrolle has been left out of the pairing of the pending LISCR Charity Tournament because the team did not complete the previous edition.

Karnga said Barrolle is not included in this edition of the competition because he (Karnga) had a misunderstanding with the President of LISCR Mustapha Ragie. According to Karnga, Mustapha Ragie lied to the Liberian people that he provided transportation for Barrolle when they got stranded in Ivory Coast at the CAF championship Tournament in 2009.

“I demanded an apology from Mustapha Ragie.” Karnga said. All efforts made by the our Sports desk to contact Mustapha were fruitless as his phone rang endlessly without any response.
