School of Christ blunders

The graduating over fifty senior students recently in Weala, Margibi County, the coordinator of the School of Christ International or SOCI conceded his institution blundered when it failed to send its Ninth Graders for the West African Examination Council or WAEC exams during the 2016 academic yera.

A NewDawn’s investigation recently revealed that dozens of students (nine graders) in Margibi and Bong Counties did not write this year’s exams. The students came from the School of Christ International in Weala, the Pentecostal Conquerors Academy along the Bong Mines Road in Kakata and Frehla Public School in Frehla, Bong County, respectively.

The School of Christ International Coordinator, Evangelist George Saah Tegbeh speaking at the school’s graduation ceremony recently, which put out 51 students, said it was a blunder that the school did not send its 9th graders for the WAEC.

“There was one reason they didn’t sit for the WAEC; many did not pay their money (WAEC fees) on time and frankly, the school made a blunder; we should have put their WAEC fees in the school fees definitely; they were all going to sit”, he explained.

He said the school has now decided as a result of the mistake to inject the WAEC fees into the school fees to be paid together during the academic calendar so the students’ WAEC fees are paid on time.
