SEGAL hailed at 10th anniversary

SEGAL officers at the 10th anniversary celebration in Yekepa

The privately-run Security Expert Guard Agency or SEGAL has been described as the best private security organization in the country that the Government of Liberia should collaborate with in the wake of UNMIL drawdown.

Speaking at souvenir program marking the10th anniversary of SEGAL in Yekepa, Nimba County, the Deputy County Commander for the Liberia National Police Col. Alex Kaweh, said the police have worked with SEGAL for several years and also trained more its officers.

Col. Kaweh said there were many other private security organizations operating in Liberia, but SEGAL is the best. Also speaking during the celebration, SEGAL administrator Mr. Gbawu Woiwor, pledged his agency’s commitment to the people of Nimba and Liberia in terms of providing professional security services.

The CEO of SEGAL Mr. Cyrus T. Momo, told this paper plans are underway to extend operations beyond the borders of Liberia. CEO Momo disclosed that as of December 2017 SEGAL services will be all in 15 counties of Liberia. He said currently, they are in 13 counties operating as a private security firm.

He added that SEGAL has singularly provided uninterrupted physical security to numerous clients in varied domains of engagement. According to him, the agency has also collaborated with like-minded locally-based private security agencies as a significant link of global network of agencies committed to serving the country.
