Sekou Jabateh Leads Lone Star U-23

Liberia’s international Russian- based forward, Sekou Jabateh Oliseh is set for his second youth match for Liberia. The forward arrived in the country on Tuesday night for the trip to Ghana ahead of Liberia’s Olympic qualifying match with the Ivory Coast.

According to an update from the LFA, Jabateh is listed for the second time to play for the Under-23 side due to the chances they have to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic. The international striker is expected to partner with Alex Nimo, who played for America’s Under-17 and 20 Men’s teams.

Tonia Tisdell, playing in Turkey’s 1st Division for 4th place Mersin Idman-Yurdu was unable to joined Lone Star Under-23 for the game. Sekou will function as a pointer during the game, hoping for the best of supports from local base midfielders.
