Sen. Kpehe faces criticism from aggrieved citizens

Several residents of Electoral District #1 have criticized Senator Johnny Kpehe for reportedly failing to fulfill his campaign promises.

Bong County March 25, 2025: During a recent content-gathering tour over the weekend, residents of Electoral District #1 alleged that during the 2023 general elections, Sen. Kpehe dug several wells in their town, promising to install hand pumps to provide safe drinking water.
However, according to the citizens, he has yet to fulfill those commitment.
“Senator Kpehe used hot meals and large sums of cash to secure our votes during the 2023 elections. He lied to us, and now we are calling on him to either complete the hand pumps or cover the abandoned wells,” the residents stated.
Meanwhile, this platform has observed that livestock and other domestic animals have fallen into some of the open wells due to alleged abandonment, posing a serious hazard to the community.
However, Senator Kpehe has clarified that it was never his intention to leave the project unfinished. He urged the citizens of Ulah to remain patient, assuring them that his team is working diligently to commence the installation of the hand pumps. -Edited by Othello B. Garblah.
