Separate education from politics

– Salala DEO
Salala District Educational Officer Samuel Y. Koenig Salala District Education Officer in Bong County Mr. Samuel Y. Koenig, is admonishing citizens of the district not to mix education with politics.

DEO Koenig’s admonition is in the wake of report that the people of Salala are politicizing the education of their children on grounds that the district is politically charged. But he warned that education and politics cannot work together.

He gave the warning recently in an interview with our Margibi County Correspondent.  Mr. Koenig said if politics is divorced from education, the educational sector will move from “mess to best”, the words of Liberia’s Education Minister George Werner.
