Severely Assaulted Refugee Escape Death

An Ivoirian refugee who reportedly pledged his support to the United Nations-backed Ivoirian government of Alassane Ouattara was severely beaten near death by his fellow countrymen at the camp in Duogee in Grand Gedeh County.

According to  correspondent, Abdullai Saye wore a t-shirt  with the portrait of Ouattara, boasting that those who did not like Alassane Ouattara would never return to the Ivory Coast.

This statement is reported to have aggravated his fellow refugees who resisted by mercilessly flogging him to near death.

Abdullai is reported to have been admitted at a local clinic last Saturday following the incidence.

The division among Ivoirian refugees is not something new at the various refugee camps. Since the onset of the conflict between the former claimants of the disputed presidential elections, there have been huge political, social and ethnic differences at all level.
