Single Women

Dear Lord Jesus, let today’s message be impacted in my life, give me the grace O Lord to make myself a better person and the grace to prepare myself for marriage in Jesus name AMEN.

Out of the six characteristics in preparing for marriage, we discussed three in last week’s edition, and they were:

1. GET KNOWLEDGE
2. HAVE A CLOSE  RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD &
3. DISCOVER GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE

Today’s discussion will focus on the remaining three characteristics in preparing for marriage. Before I get to the point, let me remind you ladies, you don’t have to live a don’t care life. I’ve noticed that most Liberian women are living only for themselves, which is wrong. You are living to please God, and in pleasing God, you must do the right things to be a role model to the upcoming generation of young women to see and follow. This will help them and our country to move forward. Live for a purpose. You can make the difference.

CHARACTERISTICS

4.  HAVE GOOD CHARACTER

As a lady, no matter the condition and environment your character is what determines who you are.  If you look around us today, most of our young women demonstrate unruly behaviors-they fight and rain insults on people in the streets thinking they are  heroines. But I can tell you with these attitudes, it is impossible for a good, responsible and God fearing man to have you as a wife.  Only those men with your kind of attitude can take you as a girlfriend, and not even a wife. And you should be ready for beating in the streets, kicking you out of your home and even bringing girlfriend in front of you. That is not a home and it is not marriage, it is bondage.

Whatever it is, ladies, you should always have self-control, don’t be the man take away every negative attitude within you and you will have the best man.

5. TAKE CARE OF YOUR OUTWARD APPEARANCE

This is one of our weaknesses especially the young ones- wearing junction, flashing the senators, wearing clothes that will not permit them to sit well. What puzzles me, is that I see most of our big girls as they called themselves wearing things worse than the kids.

A lady should always dress like a lady, have a good fragrance, speak, sit, and walk like a lady.

For the bible says,

You have been bought with a price, glorify God with your body and spirit.

Your appearance should always speak for you. if you appear like a prostitute, you will be treated as one.

6. LEARN TO BE DOMESTICATED

Because we want to feel the power of being a marry woman so, we out of ignorance give the go ahead to our housemaid to wash our husband’s underwear, serve him with his food, and even make up his bed. We need them yes, but not all of the time and not every services. We have to learn how to take care of our homes cook our husband’s meal.

The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.

Serve him with his meal, massage him yourself, and make sure his wearing’s are clean.

Watch out for housemaids, if you cannot take care of your husband, they will take hold of him.

Lord, I receive the grace today for adequate preparation for marriage, come and take charge of my life and keep me for that special person. May I, oh Lord, not be in the wrong position when he comes. Give me the grace to always wait on your time, for your time is the best for me. Thank you Jesus for granting me this great opportunity to learn, in Jesus name, I have prayed AMEN.
