The people of Sinoe County have congratulated President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf for her recent ascendancy as new Chairperson of the Authority of Heads of State and Governments of ECOWAS.
According to an Executive Mansion release, the message of congratulation was conveyed when a delegation from Sinoe County Legislative Caucus paid a courtesy call on President Sirleaf at her Foreign Ministry Office in Monrovia.
Speaking on behalf of the Caucus, its Chairman, Hon. Jeremiah McCauley lauded the Liberian leader for putting Liberia on the map amid such sub-regional obligation. Hon. McCauley said Liberia is indeed proud of President Sirleaf and expressed hope that God will continue to lead her in greater tasks.
Also speaking, Senator Joseph Nagbe commended President Sirleaf for raising the profile of her country and said her recent election by colleagues proves a demonstration of their confidence in her ability, leadership and integrity to lead the Authority.
In brief remarks, President Sirleaf thanked the Caucus for the visit and promised to do her best in justifying the confidence reposed in her by her colleagues.
