Sossa Out of LISCR’s Hook

Credible reports reaching our sports desk say defending Liberia Football Association Premier League Champions LISCR FC has parted company with its Beninese star Gariel Sossa.

The inspirational midfielder joined LISCR FC at the beginning of last season and played an important role in the title triumph. Reports say there has been a bitter eyebrow between the President of LISCR FC and the player’s agent over signing a new contract.

Though both sides have not come public with the issues, sources close to the midfield maestro said he is not happy at the club and wants to leave. The double LFA Premier League champions recently signed three Nigerians in a bid to strengthen their squad ahead of the CAF Champions league and the National League.

Already  employed are likes of Marcus Macaulay, Martin Karndu,Trokon Zeon, Daniel Woto all National team players, LISCR recently signed LFA Premier League Most Valuable Player Dominic Jlateh from Fatu FC. Jlateh scored a record 20 goals in the 2012 premier league, and also gave LISCR their first trophy, when he beat BYC to lift the Liberia Diaspora International Friendship Cup.

Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) is said to be in the lead to sign the excellent ball distributor. BYC and LISCR FC are expected to represent Liberia in the 2013 CAF Confederation Cup and the Champions League, respectively.
