Residents of Johnsonville, Montserrado County, are still digesting news of the emergence of a strange rattle with a ring around it in their community.

Monrovia, Liberia; August 6, 2025 – Residents of Johnsonville, Montserrado County, are currently living in fear after a mysterious incident occurred when a snake with a ring around its neck was killed in the area.
The incident, which created panic among dwellers, happened around Kiddies International Early Foundation School, Johnsonville.
Dwellers, who spoke to the NEW DAWN, said the strange snake left them in fear in the community.
According to reports, the strange reptile had a human ring around its body with an Arabic word “الله” (Allah), meaning “God,” engraved on it. The strange sight quickly sparked curiosity and conversations in the community, with many questionings how the ring got there.
Ambrose Flomo, a resident, said the mysterious incident happened around 7 am on Saturday, when a lady discovered the snake and called out for help.
“This is strange, and it’s the first time for me to see such a thing—a snake with a ring around it. What? Dam it”, a resident said.
“There is fear in us as dwellers of this community, because this is completely witchcraft, and some of us are even unable to sleep, Korpo Kollie, another resident, added.
At the same time, Prophet Sammy David, a spiritual leader and General Overseer of the God’s Family Church in Red Light (Paynesville), has cautioned dwellers involved in the killing of the creature to fast and pray, because there might be a serious spiritual attack on the community.
“All those, who killed this snake must go to church for deliverance and do it fast; do not delay”, Prophet David cautions.
He warned that the reptile is not an ordinary snake, as it has some spiritual power and potential danger.
“If you understand spiritual signs and symbols, you will know that you have tampered with ‘a Legion,’ and this is not a joke”, Prophet David further warns.
He urges those involved to seek immediate deliverance through prayer and spiritual guidance to protect themselves from any negative spiritual forces that may have been unleashed.
Residents are being urged to take the warning seriously and seek refuge in a church to safeguard themselves from any potential repercussions. Editing by Jonathan Browne
