Suspended Minister’s fate in limbo

Suspended deputy commerce minister Jemima Wolokollie, seems to be standing on slippery grounds, as the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) issues a stern caveat here to Madam Wolokollie, maintaining that despite she being a member of the ruling Coalition, the CDC has no place for her behavior, and would not support nor lobby for her return to office.

President George Manneh Weah suspended Minister Wolokollie for time indefinite over the weekend for gross insubordination to her principal boss, Minister Wilson K. Tarpeh, after she publicly accused him of conniving with some foreign businesses in the country at the detriment of Liberian-owned businesses.

Coalition Chairman Mulbah K. Morlu, urges Madam Wolokollie to make a detour, repent and put herself in a position of wanting to serve with humility and modest mind.

Speaking at the CDC headquarters, Chairman Morlu narrates that Wolokollie apologized to Minister Wilson Tarpeh in his (Morlu’s) presence, but to his dismay, she took the airwave to detail internal government workings with regards to the Presidency.

He says following the suspension of the deputy minister, she posted on her facebook that God will be the judge, insisting that she has done nothing wrong. Both Minister Wilson Tarpeh and his deputy Madam Jemima Wolokollie are members of the governing Coalition for Democratic Change.
