Teacher drops dead after receiving pay
A school public teacher in his early 60s has suddenly collapsed dead in Voinjama, Lofa County.
Instructor Koluba Wonnie reportedly dropped and died after receiving his monthly salary from the Ecobank branch in Voinjama.
Health authorities in Lofa have launched an investigation into the incident to establish the cause of death.
Fellow teachers, who were also at the Ecobank complained of the time it took them in the bank to receive their salaries.
They told The NewDawn in Lofa that it took them about two weeks to get their salaries from the bank.
The late Koluba Wonnie dropped dead few feet from the Ecobank office in Voinjama.
When contacted by our correspondent, authorities of the bank in Voinjama declined to comment on the matter, pending contact with head office in Monrovia.
