Team Jorquelleh distributes 16,000 textbooks

Team Jorquelleh has commenced distributing over 16,000 textbooks to schools within electoral district#3, in Bong County, Central Liberia. The books were recently brought in the Country from the United States through the National Secretary General of the Young Man Christian Association or YMCA, Edward Gboe.

At the start of the distribution Wednesday, 2 March the Chairman of Team Jorquelleh, Kolleh Reeves, said the books came as a result of Mr. Edward Gboe’s lobbying power with friends overseas. He said Mr. Gboe as a son of Bong County, thinks it is necessary to pay back to the community that he hails from.

The Team Jorquelleh Chairman added that Mr. Gboe will continue to use his international contacts to help the people of District Three. School administrators, who received the donation, praised Mr. Gboe for identifying with them, and added the donation will ease the problem of text books in their respective institutions as teachers and students will now be able to conduct research and make references.

They described Mr. Gboe as a true son of electoral district #3, describing his contribution to the development of the district as immense. Each school is expected to receive 1,200 textbooks of various academic subjects, including Chemistry, Biology, English, Literature as well as elementary and junior high school textbooks.
