In an effort to alleviate some of the economic constraints faced by the physically challenged, Team Jorquelleh has donated three sewing machines and LD10, 000 to the Bong County Disabled Association.
he head of Team Jorquelleh says the gesture is meant to help improve living conditions of physically challenged citizens in the county. Edward Gboe, who presented the machines and cash recently to the Bong County association, said the wellbeing of disabled or physically challenged people cannot be over emphasized because they are confined to the fringes of society due to their disabilities.
Gboe, who is General Secretary of the Young Men Christian Association or YMCA, said in order for the living conditions of people living with disabilities to improve, they need economic empowerment to enable them engage in meaningful ventures.
He said working with physically challenged people remains one of his top priorities and promised to keep working with them. Receiving the materials and cash, the project coordinator of the Bong County Disabled Association lauded Mr. Gboe for the gesture.
John O.K. Flomo said, the venture by Edward Gboe will go a long way in the existence of the disabled community. Flomo said the donation came at a time the association is in serious need and called on others to emulate the good examples of Edward Gboe.
