The Opportunity is Yours – Rep. Aspirant
A representative aspirant for district number three in Lofa County is urging residents and citizens of that region to take advantage of the extended period allotted by the National Election Commission or NEC to swiftly get registered.
Our Lofa County Correspondent quoted Mariamu Fofana as admonishing residents of Kugbomai Town in Voinjama district to use the current opportunity given by the NEC to exercise their political franchise and not to allow themselves to be misled by anyone in the county.
She said though in previous elections such as the 2005 presidential and legislative polls, citizens were ignorant to electioneering process, this time; it is the full responsibility of every Liberian to participate in all aspects of the elections.
“When you are registered, you will then have the opportunity to decide who will lead you in a perfect way. Remember, this is your country and no one can do it for you, but yourself,” she added
Fofana has, meanwhile, called on the people of Lofa to refrain from violence and invest in development- orientated activities so as to positively contribute to the nation building process. She also said the unification of all Lofans will lead to the rapid forward movement of their county.
