A Liberian Turkish-based midfielder is expected to arrive in the country today. Tonia Tisdell, an employee of Turkish premier league side, Ankaragucu FC, is coming at the invitation of the Liberia Football Association.
Tonia fought in opposition to the Under-23 of Sierra Leone early last month in Freetown during a 1-1 semester for Liberia Under-23.
He will be the first of four Liberian internationals invited to arrive for the home show bit at the SKD Sports Stadium on Sunday Dec-19-2010. The midfielder was the only distant icon in the Under-23 line up last month away to Sierra Leone.
His presence provided some probabilities for Lone Star, but only one was converted into the net by Nimba FC frontier striker, Samuel Johnson. The Russian-based Liberian forward, Sekou Jabateh Oliseh has also been named to build up the attacking line, and is expected to arrive this Friday.
His late arrival in Monrovia is due to CKSA Moscow’s Europa Cup away fixture to Sparka on Wednesday Dec-15-2010. Hapoel Kfar Saba FC top scorer Patrick Doeplah is also scheduled to touch down the same Wednesday.
The match is the return leg of the London Olympics qualifying series for Africa. The coaching staff and playing troupes will be facing a huge task this weekend by endeavoring to make process or remain at bay for the next rounds.
