Traffic congestion is what we are experiencing in Monrovia. As can be seen, it is a condition on our roads that is caused by increase used of our roads by vehicle, motorbikes, street sellers and pedestrians. Our traffic congestion is characterized by slower speeds, longer trip times, and increased queuing by vehicles.
As road demand increases extreme traffic congestion sets in. When vehicles are fully stopped for periods of time, this is colloquially known as a traffic jam. What can we do about the continuous traffic jammed in our city?
Evidently, we need more roads; widened roads to increase the number of lanes, sidewalks for pedestrians, and specific spots for sellers, as well as enforced traffic regulations, particularly – stops and pick up spots for taxi and other vehicle.
