UL president appreciates faculties, staff

The President of the University of Liberia (UL) Rev. Dr. Julius JulukonSarwolo Nelson has expressed thanks and appreciations to the Vice Presidents, Deans, Faculties, Administrative Directors, Staff, Students and Securities for their contribution to the existence of UL.

Dr. Nelson’s message came Friday, 20 December as the institution climaxes its activities for the year 2019.

Dr. Nelson also thanks the Visitor of the University and President of the Republic of Liberia, George Manneh Weah and the Board of Trustees of the University for their support to the University.

He urges everyone to celebrate the Christmas and New Year seasons with joy and peace, cautioning that nothing can be done in the midst of chaos.

Dr. Nelson notes that protecting the peace in the country will also be a contribution in the existence of the University as it continues to mold the minds of young people.

He assures that 2020 will be a wonderful year for the University with the blessing of the Board in the direction that he suggested that the University needs to do curricular review, faculty development and Information Communication Technology (ICT) innovation and resource mobilization.

Dr. Nelson indicates that the partnership between the Government and the University, the Board of Trustees, and the Alumni will make a very big difference as they go forward.

Meanwhile, Dr. Nelson urges those at the University to resolve their problems through dialogue, saying his doors will always be open for talks.

He notes that common ground can be found internally, as the University should be a place where those who are there should keep talking and resolving their issues at the University.By Winston W. Parley
