Gbarnga, Bong County – April 3, 2025 – In a demonstration of solidarity and commitment to improving healthcare access in Liberia, the U.S.-based nonprofit organization, Partnership for Community Transformation (PACT), has donated a shipment of vital medical supplies to Phebe Hospital in Gbarnga, Bong County.

The donation, which includes essential pharmaceuticals and personal protective equipment, aims to enhance the hospital’s capacity to provide critical healthcare services to the local population.

According to PACT Secretary Elijah Zina, this initiative is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to strengthen healthcare systems in underserved regions, particularly in countries with limited access to medical resources.

“These supplies will support Phebe Hospital in addressing the medical needs of the community, particularly in maternal and child health, emergency care, and infectious disease management,” Zina stated. “This donation is not just about providing supplies; it is about investing in the health and well-being of the community.”

Zina reaffirmed PACT’s dedication to supporting Phebe Hospital and other healthcare institutions in need.

Receiving the donation, Dr. Nemi Sankawolo Ricks, Medical Director of Phebe Hospital, expressed gratitude to PACT, describing the donation as timely and crucial in improving healthcare delivery.

“We deeply appreciate this support from PACT. These medical supplies will go a long way in strengthening our ability to provide quality care to our patients. We hope this partnership continues to grow,” Dr. Ricks stated.

PACT, a U.S.-based nonprofit, is dedicated to addressing primary and higher education needs in underserved communities worldwide while also contributing to critical healthcare initiatives.

The donation comes at a crucial time when Phebe Hospital, like many other health facilities in Liberia, is facing challenges in providing basic medical care due to the lack of essential supplies.
