The United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) over the weekend donated some materials to the Liberian Table Tennis Association (LTTA). The head of field office Montserrado County of UNMIL Tabitha Mbugua donated 20 nets, 40 rockets, 20 boards, and 20 tables to the Association and ask students and the lovers of table tennis to make use of the items.
The Association’s head office was renovated by NOCAL last mouth. The launching ceremony was held in collaboration with UNMIL under the theme ending discrimination and stigma against people with HIV/AIDS at the National Sports Commission on Broad Street.
Making remarks, a representative of the National AIDS Control Program Zubah T Mulbah thanked the President of the Table Tennis Association for the level of work he is doing for lovers of tennis. He said NACP will work with the Association to carry on the campaign of HIV/ADIS in school.
Also commenting, the President of Liberia Table Tennis Association Amos B. Korma said he is thankful to NOCAL and UNMIL for coming to the call of the Association. Korma called on lovers of tennis in to join Association in making the sport popular in Liberia.
